Wrestling Entertainment 101: For the Ladies
As I'm writing this my teenage self is slowing shaking her head - yes I am a 30-something mother of two little girls and I have started watching World Wrestling Entertainment. What lead me to this sudden life shift in my entertainment choice? Several things.
First, pure boredom. What better thing do I have to do on Monday, Tuesdays, and sometimes Sundays (with Pay-Per-View)? The answer: nothing. Nothing else is going on right now!
Second, lack of other sports in my life. I love sports which I think comes from my total lack of athletic ability but being highly competitive. It fills a nice little need to be part of sports without actually having actual skill. This time of year is an odd time. Football is over, soccer is in pre-season, and while I love college basketball my team is either horrible or too good so you end up watching blowouts going either way. Gets old.
So here we are, a mother with not a lot going on excitedly watching a scripted sporting event and trying to follow the story lines and characters while also learning what the heck is going on! While my friends look at me like I'm a crazy person I figure we all have our "thing" so why not make this mine. This is my blog to follow characters and share my thoughts on what is going on.
